I was taking a walk in the Japanese countryside when I saw this poster for an art exhibition about the Moomin comic strip.

The main character seems to be intently listening to a radio with a tuned loop antenna! I'm not particularly a fan of Moomin, but I was surprised to see a loop antenna on a poster in the countryside. The exhibition is already over, but some information can still be found here: https://rightsandbrands.com/news/moomin-comic-strips-exhibition-the-art-of-tove-and-lars-jansson-opens-in-japan .
AND.... I would buy one of these.....

i would LOVE to visit Akahabara in Tokyo. Shops full of radio and electronic gear, old and new. I would spend months there, and somehow rent a big truck, maybe a shipping container and bring it all back to here in New Zealand. Then I would worry that I had missed something so would need to go back and do it all again.
Tuned Loop Antennas are cool looking, in a retro kinda way.
