Some videos, of bad quality, can be seen on YT, showing a regen '1625' tube based in operation on MW band. I couldn't find anything showing how it goes on ssb or cw. I would be very interested to know if s.o. of the group could provide some evidence. Due to time limitations I cannot made a test by myself currently. I'm tempted to test a 6DQ6 as 0V0 receiver ... : that big cathode should allow achieving a relatively strong audio, according to my speculations. Any hint or experience on this are appreciated, especially if they can increase the appetite .. W7QQQ has made a trx setup with a 1625 based regen receiver for 7 Mhz: for aesthetic or technical purposes?

Well, I couldn't help myself. I'm hoping Dave won't mind.
Unfortunately, much of Dave Schmarder's work is hard to find now that Make A Radio is gone. He did some nice work with 1625s and other large tubes.
